I really did chuckle when that “5,000 per O2 store” figure came out. Likewise I got into a heated argument with someone who insisted that the 16Gb units were all white, when I knew that white wasn’t going to be an option for the UK.

Prepay was due to launch at £349 for the 8Gb but due to the stock situation we’re looking at Christmas now, if at all.

There’s less than 45K iPhones coming to the UK before 20th July and only 10% of these are 16Gb versions; how many pre-orders do you think O2 took online?

And the white version is US only for the time being.
