It has a whole list of all bbc radio channels, including bbc sports, and bbc news. All the bbc radio channels can be easily streamed over any internet connection, wifi, through pc or mobile/pda. A Mac mini would be great, but personally I don’t want a full blown computer in the lounge. If BBC tv was available through iTunes, then sales of the Apple TV would probably take off :)

TV streaming when mobile is more likely on the 2nd gen iPhone, but its perfectly possible now over Wifi. The only problem IMHO is having to transcode the BBC stream, which does present problems in developing an app for the iPhone

More media on itunes the better, that will do for now.

I have to say, streaming iPlayer has changed my TV viewing habits already… I have a Mac mini connected to my TV in lounge, the quality of the stream, even when blown up to 32′ is really rather good.

I’m convinced that iPlayer for iPhone is coming this year, over iTunes would be a perfect solution, but at a guess I’d say that a streaming version would get more usage. Over the Christmas holiday I think the traffic for the streaming flash version was somethings like 10 times greater then the PC app. People hate to wait!
